Shawana "Ms.Shi" Richardson is the owner and creator of SynSha' Fashions Beauty Studio & SynSha' Fashions Motique, a mobile retail clothing store catering to both male and female fashion needs. Shawana prides herself in bringing the latest fashions and trends to her clients.

“I was born to be involved in fashion and the love of it keeps me abreast of the latest trends,” said Shawana. “My eye for fashion allows me to assist others to continue looking fashionably fly.”

In 2006, Shawana was given the opportunity to host a Source Magazine fashion show. This experience led her to plan and showcase multiple fashion shows of her own from 2006 through 2010.

Shawana launched Flashing Lights Photography and Model Expo in 2010, a fashion show she coordinated, developed, and executed. The second FLPME showis now in the planning stages and Shawana hopes to have that event very soon.

A former educator, Shawana started out as a program manager for Education Station and subsequently taught two business courses, graphic design and a computer and career course. She is a proud member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority and does her best to give back to her alma mater, Edward Waters College in whatever way she can.

In her spare time when she’s not seeking out the latest trends in fashion, Shawana loves to spend time with her family, mentoring teens and traveling abroad to meet new people and experience different cultures.

Shawana is a newlywed, and mother of one daughter, Cordazia Jones, who recently got inducted in the National Honors Society. Her husband played a major role in the layout, design and construction of her “Motique.” Shawana credits all her success not just to her hard work and perseverance, but also to their constant love, encouragement and support.
